Dartford vs Marlow
Report
Dartford progressed to the 2nd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, after a convincing win over Marlow in front of 610 supporters at Bericote Powerhouse Princes Park.
Eddie Dsane got the Darts started after a scrappy opening 40 minutes, with a fine finish in the 42nd minute. The goal settled the hosts and it wasn’t long before Olly Box opened his account for the season with a strike into the bottom corner deep into additional time at the end of the first-half (45+2).
The lively number eleven then scored again within four minutes of the restart to increase his side’s lead to three with another lovely finish (49), before the visitors hit back via Jordi Ebanda’s penalty kick (64).
Substitute Ben Allen then got on the end of a Sam Odaudu cross to score his first goal for the Darts on 69 minutes, before Brandon Curtis hit back for Marlow two minutes later (71).
However, Odaudu and Allen combined once again to see the latter net a fifth goal for the hosts (75), before Callum Jones hit a sixth goal after being released by Samir Carruthers with five minutes remaining (85).
