Dartford entertain Weymouth at Bericote Powerhouse Princes Park this afternoon.
We spoke with Jordan Wynter, as he shared his thoughts on the season ahead amongst other things:
- “I’m familiar with this club, and love how it’s run.”

This season marks the 50th Anniversary of when Dartford won the Southern League Championship, as well as embarking on an historic run to Wembley in the FA Trophy. Today’s fixture is the nearest date which coincides with the FA Trophy 1st Round fixture against Ashford Town in the 1973-74 campaign.
We spoke with legendary goalkeeper John Morton, as he discussed what he’s been up to, as well as his thoughts on playing in black and white, particularly during that famous 1973-74 season:
- “My best memory of playing for Dartford was playing for Ernie and Charlie.”
- “That 1973-74 Dartford team was full of amazing characters.”
- “The only thing I remember about the Ashford game is that Tony Godden was in goal!”
- “Playing at Wembley was unbelievable.”
- “We proved a lot of people wrong that year.”
