SAMIR CARRUTHERS
We’re pleased to announce that Samir Carruthers has agreed to sign for us when his contract at Chelmsford expires.
Samir struck 10 goals and won the players POTY award in his last year at the club and is now a Dart once more!
Samir spoke to us after the announcement:
How does it feel to be back at Dartford?
I’m so happy to be back, I loved my time here and built so many friendships here and memories and want the club to be back to where it should be, it hurt me to see the club get relegated last season and I want to do everything possible in my power to get this amazing club where it should be.
What attracted you to come back to the club?
I spoke with Ady and few times and he seems like a great human and explained to me on where and how he wants me to play my part this season within the team and was straight away convinced in what he had to say. For me I was to hopefully spend the next few years pushing this club to forwards.
A lot of fans were very pleased to see you back do you have a message for them?
I loved the fans here when I was here they were amazing to me and even last year when i played against them they were brilliant towards me, I hope they can take towards me again and we can give them everything they deserve and that’s a winning team that goes on to get promoted.
JACOB MARSDEN
We are pleased to announce that goalkeeper Jacob Marsden has agreed to join the club when his contract with Chelmsford City expires
We look forward to seeing Jacob in between the sticks next season!
We spoke to Jacob after the announcement:
“I am delighted to join Dartford FC! I am extremely excited to get going and looking forward to game 1 of the new season. This is a huge football club that I feel can do something special and I can’t wait to contribute to that and be a part of many good times as a group of players, staff and fans together.
I would like to thank everyone at Chelmsford City for the last 3 seasons. All the staff, management team, players and supporters made my time at Chelmsford one I will remember fondly!
Finally, I would like to thank the manager and the club for bringing me on board for next season and I can’t wait to meet everyone at the club come pre season and see the massive support from the fans as a Dartford goalkeeper instead of an opposition player!
Looking forward to this next chapter immensely.. Up the Darts!”
