We can announce that academy captain George Whitefield has signed First Team Registration Forms, making him eligible for selection first team fixtures!
The defender has captained the academy side throughout this year’s FA Youth Cup run and won the MOTM award for his performance against Erith Town, an award decided by Dowse.
The 17 year old has been training with the first team squad over the past few weeks and Dowse has rewarded the scholar with the opportunity to play in league matches.
The signing showcases Dowse’s commitment to a ‘pathway’ between the academy and the first team, and brings real belief to the scholars that with hard work and commitment they can be the next player to become part of the first team.
