DFC is proud to announce Richie Atkins as the club’s Academy Player of the Month for January.
Academy Manager Ben Greenhalgh highlighted the performances of the second year Academy player across the month as reason for the award.
He said: “He’s a centre midfielder. He’s dual registered with Corinthian and played around 30 games with them.
“He’s jumped up with the Whites this season so we have another year-and-a-half of him with us.
“He got five assists in four games in January, creating lots of chances and running the games in the middle of the pitch. He brings loads of energy to the matches.
“He’s playing with a lot of lads who are a year older, but he brings so much quality in there.
“We are going to keep pushing him on and believe he has a great future.
It’s great to see so many of the Academy players getting an opportunity with Ady and stepping up – and we are sure he will feature too.
”Richie will be presented with the award by chairman Steve Irving at a future first team match. Congratulations from all at Dartford FC!
