DFC is proud to announce Blu Husthwaite as the club’s first Academy Player of the Month.
In what will be a monthly award going forward, Academy Manager Ben Greenhalgh picked out the midfielder who has been in red-hot form.
Having moved up to the third-year Dartford Academy Whites team a year early, Blu was a key part of the league winning team last season.
And after featuring for the first team during the 24/25 pre-season, he has hit the ground running for the Academy this September.
Ben said: “He’s leading the team really well right now and has two goals in two games, even though he’s not a goal-scorer.
“Blu, Jez Pinder and Joseph Kpaka have all featured with the first team in pre-season, they were the only three that jumped up to the Whites a year early.
“Blu played nearly every game last season and was a key reason we won the league last year with four matches to go.
“Our initial instincts were to make him captain this year due to his experience in the team from last season and he has really taken to it.
“His commitment to Dartford is massive. He’s here every day, he has a great relationship with the players and coaches and a great attitude. On the pitch he kicks and heads everything!”

Blu will be presented with the first Academy of the Month award by chairman Steve Irving at a match in October.
