Dartford Whites vs Fulham (Sedgehill) – Match Report

Dartford Whites were comfortable 9-0 winners in their National League Alliance U19 League Cup Match against Fulham (Sedgehill) on Wednesday Afternoon.

After some early pressure on the Fulham goal, it didn’t take long for Dartford to break the deadlock. In the 7th minute, a corner is floated in and Richard Gregory’s free header drops kindly to Conor Cox at the back post who taps in to make it 1-0.

3 Minutes later and Dartford double their advantage as once again the ball drops kindly to Gregory who is able to play in Ryan Saad, who also scores a tap-in past Fulham Goalkeeper, Claudio Sanfo.

After some more great football from the Whites, they soon find themselves 3-0 up as after a good passage of play, Cox is in on goal, he squares it to Liam Gillies who’s initial shot is saved. However on the rebound, Andrew Ikuesan follows up and slots into an empty net.

Dartford are once again on the attack as Henri Fulton is in on goal, however he see’s his shot saved by Sanfo. However after the clearance, the ball drops kindly to Levi Gold inside the box who’s effort goes in after Sanfo failed to close down the ball in time.

On the stroke of Half-Time, Dartford once again flood forward in numbers as Saad puts a great ball across the box for Cox, who instead makes a mess of the opportunity and puts it wide. However from the resulting Goal Kick, Fulham Captain, Michael Schaveigert loses out to Gold who unselfishly squares it to Cox who scores his second of the game and more importantly sends Dartford into Half-Time 5-0 up.

The 2nd Half would play out just like the 1st, which see’s Dartford continuing to dominate the ball and create the better of the opportunities. 6 minutes into the 2nd Half and Dartford add a 6th, Cox with a great burst of pace to get himself into the box plays in Saad in the middle who easily converts his second of the afternoon.

No sooner had Dartford scored their 6th, they would then add a 7th, once again it was some great football from the Whites, Fulton with some great work on the left who puts it across the face of the goal and Gold is there to tap-in his 2nd of the game and put Dartford 7-0 up.

Not settling for just 7, Dartford continue to push forward and in the 62nd Minute, Fulton is through on Goal, however he see’s his effort ricochet off the bar, it then drops to Ikuesan, who’s follow-up shot goes wide of the target. 5 minutes later however and Dartford do indeed make it 8-0 and after a burst into the box from Fulton, the ball drops kindly to substitute Gabriel Alonge to finish.

Finally, in the closing stages of the game with the game already over, Liam Gillies makes a burst forward and with no Fulham players around him, he takes a shot from distance which is able to get the better of Sanfo in the Fulham goal and put Dartford 9-0 up.

Overall it was a comfortable Afternoon’s work for Dartford Whites as the progress into the next round with an easy win over Fulham (Sedgehill). 9 Goals spread throughout the team and great performances from all Whites players, in particular Cox, Gillies and Saad.
