Community Fun Day

funday

Sunday 12th June’s Funday at Dartford Football Club attracted a large crowd, from the local community and fans alike.

The Mayor of Dartford, Paul Cutler visited and chatted with anyone he met, around the Bericote Powerhouse Princes Park Community Stadium site.

Mayor Cutler joined in with Dartford.F.C’s new manager, Alan Dowson (Dowse) and Kirk’s steel band (see photos).

He also saw many other acts and stalls, including Adrian, the balloon Modeller (photo) near a face – painting station, the ice cream van, inflatables, new Vauxhall cars and trialists at Bat and Trap.

Further along, passing the Champions’ and Darts Burger Bars, Dartford.F.C Women (photo) were busy guessing the Koala’s name, while the mobile DJ, 4×4 BEATS (photo) provided music entertainment to keep spirits high, on a lovely, warm and sunny day.

Of course, Second Chance Animal Rescue (S.C.A.R) pleased all visitors, with carefully – selected and well – cared for animals on display, including my little pony! (photo)

Dartford.F.C.Supporters’ Association – DFCSA – (photo) who organised the annual event, also had a raffle, with stalls for a tombola, bric a brac, summer plants, glitter tattoos and football memorabilia.

A few hundred pounds were raised to add to DFCSA’s club funds, while new season tickets, memberships and other schemes were applied for, from the club shop.

The club’s Junior Section coaches were on hand to guide young would – be footballers, on the minis and 3G pitches.

Once the new league season gets underway, planning ideas for next year’s Funday, will start being in the minds!
