Dartford FC Fan Gives Generous Donation to Nuneaton Mascot

On Saturday 27th September 2014, Dartford FC travelled to the James Parnell Stadium to take on Nuneaton Town in the Vanarama Conference. There were two mascots for the game and one of them was 6 year old Jack Oldacres who suffers with Netherton’s Syndrome.

“The condition is caused by damage in a gene children are born with. This gene controls the formation of a protein in the skin and without it the skin rejects certain types of cells resulting in flaking, red skin.” Jack must be bathed twice a day to remove the flaky skin that has grown and be covered in various creams and oils to reduce any itchy and sore areas.

Dartford FC supporter Mr K Timms made a generous cheque to the charity that Jack’s Dad Danny works for, The Netherton Syndrome Group. On behalf of the Oldacres Family we would like to say a huge thank you to Mr Timms for his kind gesture.
