Dartford Reds vs Brentford Bees – Match Report

Dartford Reds suffered a 6-0 home defeat in their Division “G” match against Brentford Bees on Wednesday afternoon.

It didn’t take long for Brentford to open the scoring as after just 6 minutes, after a cross on the right, David Bermang sweeps the ball into the Reds net.

Brentford continue to dominate possession of the ball and pick up any second ball and soon enough find themselves 2-0 up as once again Bermang has the ball and drives at Dartford’s defence before slotting past Reds Goalkeeper, James Town.

It then gets worse for Dartford as 3 minutes later, they’re 3-0 down as the ball is played into the box and Bermang finds himself all alone to slot the ball home under the Goalkeeper for his hat-trick.

Brentford attack once again and within the space of a couple of minutes score 2 goals in quick succession. The first is a clever corner which eludes the Dartford defence and is finished by Louis Panamel-May. Then the next see’s Brentford counter-attack forward and the finish is provided by Aderi Arthur-Dede, which means that Dartford find themselves 5-0 down after only 27 minutes played.

On the stroke of Half-Time, Dartford manage to counter-attack on Brentford and bring the ball forward, it eventually falls to Jake Jarvis but his shot sails over the crossbar. However, after a poor 1st Half display from Dartford, they find themselves trailing 5-0 at the break with a mountain to climb in the 2nd Half.

It takes a while for the 2nd Half to get going, but once it does, it’s Brentford who spring forward and the ball falls to Arthur-Dede who unleashes a ferocious shot which beats Town, but fortunately for the Dartford Keeper, the effort hits the post.

Finally Dartford are able to start to trouble the Brentford Goalkeeper, Rhys Forster as a Free-Kick from Jedd Smith is tipped over the crossbar. Then a few minutes later after a long throw-in, Smith rises highest and his header hits the bar. Moments later, Cameron Brodey is through on goal, but Forster is able to save his effort.

However with just less than 20 minutes to play and after some good chances for Dartford, Brentford make it 6-0 as a ball is played forward to Bermang who twists and turns his way into the box and slots his effort past to score his fourth of the day.

Dartford almost score a consolation goal as the ball falls to Brodey in the box, but his shot hits the post. Then as the ball comes back into play, Dartford are unlucky again as a shot manages to hit the other post before going out of play.

In the end, the score remained 6-0 to Brentford and it was a game that Dartford will want to forget quickly and look to regroup before their next Division “G” Match.
