Manager Steve King caught up with DFC TV this week as we reviewed our promotion final defeat to Weymouth and spoke about plans ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
‘ Looking back, I felt we edged the game, we had the better chances, which we never took, it was a cagey, I feel extra time should of been brought in there and every club in the south lodged for that but it is what it is. We have to congradulate Mark and Weymouth, they’ve done fantastic getting back to back promotions but for us, to go away and beat Slough which is no mean feat, to then go and beat Havant and then get knocked out on penalties, we didn’t actually get beaten in normal time. For the players it’s a massive achievement but tinged with sorrow because we didn’t get through. ”
