Another Football League club to return to the home of the Darts, Gillingham finished seventeenth in League One last season, six points above the drop. Regular visitors to Princes Park, the Gills have won all seven friendlies against Dartford. In the build up to last year’s National South campaign the Darts lost 2-1. Gabriel Zakuani and Josh Parker scored first half goals for Gillingham. Former Gills youngster Tom Murphy, who has earned a new contract with the Darts, scored a consolation.

CHARITY COLLECTION:
There are collection points around the ground this evening – Dartford FC are supporting the Leigh Academies Trust & their schools in raising money for Gillingham FC Supporter – Greg Keating – to help buy prosthetic limbs to ensure he can go back to teaching.
Greg is a Teacher of ICT, earlier this year contracted meningococcal sepsis and Neisseria meningitis.
Initially, doctors feared for his life as he had total organ failure, resulting in him being placed in a coma for 6 weeks.
Against the odds Greg pulled through but tragically because of the infection he lost both of his legs and the fingers on both of his hands during his recovery.
Over the last few months, Greg has shown remarkable strength and courage to get back to as normal a life as possible. He is a truly inspiring individual who is currently undergoing significant rehabilitation to allow his to return to the classroom at some point in the next 6-8 months.
Funds raised will be used to ensure Greg has the ability to return to teaching.
As we enjoy the game this evening, we do hope you will pop some change in the buckets for this remarkable Young Man.
Thank you.
