Saturday’s match against Whitehawk was kindly sponsored by Mayor Councillor Ian Armitt.
Mayor Armitt said “I am delighted to sponsor today’s match against Whitehawk not only to show my pride in and support for the Darts but also to provide me with an opportunity to raise the profile of my Charity Appeal for the Lollipop Fund, the Children’s High Dependency Unit at Darent Valley Hospital.
I launched the Lollipop Appeal ten years ago when I was Mayor for the first time and, having this year been accorded the honour of being Mayor for the third time, the Mayoress and I thought it would be appropriate to revisit Lollipop as the need for funding the Unit never ceases.
