The club are delighted to announce the appointment of a new matchday programme editor for the 2016/17 Season and the foreseeable future.
David Shafford is the owner of local company DS Brochure Webdesign and also one half of Dartford Living magazine, responsible for the design of the magazine. He will now take over as the editor and designer of the Dartford Football Club matchday programme on a voluntary basis. This increases his work with the football club as he also designed the clubs new website.
Upon taking over the design of the Matchday Programme David commented “Since I moved to Dartford 11 years ago I have always supported Dartford FC. Over the last year I was given the opportunity to design the club’s new website by Commercial Manager Lauren Webster. When she said that there is an opportunity to become involved in the design of the matchday programme I did not need asking twice. I have had experience of designing the Dartford Living magazine and I feel that I will be able to bring those skills across to carry on the good job that the previous programme designer had started. I will obviously be putting my own stamp on the design and we are looking to include new features to the programme but all of the good things about last season’s programme will be carried over.
I would like to place on record my thanks to the former programme editor and also my thanks to Lauren and Dartford FC for giving me this opportunity.”
Commercial Manager Lauren Webster said “When Steve Kennedy our previous editor told me he wouldn’t be able to commit to the programme I did panic slightly as he’s been a huge part of the club for two seasons. I knew straight away who I was going to ask to join the volunteer’s team after the successful launch of the new website, and also previously working with David as part of Dartford Living magazine. David is a welcome addition to the commercial volunteer’s team, and brings a wealth of knowledge already being an editor. Everything will now be designed in house and myself and David are working on a new design for next season which I am sure the fans will love. I wish Steve Kennedy every success in the future, and I also thank him for his efforts.”
