For the past two weeks, extensive pitch works have taken place at Princes Park in order to improve the quality of the pitch for next season and thereafter. The top few inches of the ground have been removed so that a new pitch can be allowed to grow in new soil that is added to the top.
The work is nearly half way through however there is still a long way to go in preparing the pitch for the start of the new season. We would like to thank Bourne Amenity for their hard work and help in getting this started promptly now that the off season has arrived. We would also like to thank DFC Head Groundsman Andrew Gibbins for his help during this time and thank him and his team, Harry and Josh, for their constant hard work throughout the year and the preparations for the start of the new season.
