Player News – Wanadio & Brown

Dartford FC have today signed Ellis Brown & Luke Wanadio for the upcoming season. Both players have impressed in the last few friendlies and have now become permanent members of the current squad.

Luke who played for Welling last season in the National League is a player who can play on either wing.

Ellis was with Charlton and Southend as a full time pro and was also with Tonbridge Angels last season. Ellis, who is 20 years of age and lives in Dartford came in for a trial in pre season and has impressed Tony and the coaching staff.

Tony Burman said ” Luke is a player who we have been interested in for a while, he had a number of clubs chasing him but after more conversations and a couple of games with us, Luke has decided to join us. He had a number of league clubs chasing him last season and I feel that we have a very talented player who can play on either wing and  not only can he provide good service into the box, he will also work hard for the team. I spoke to Ellis during the summer and asked him to come in and train with us during the pre-season. What interested me was his pace in wide areas, and I think he has done very well in pre season and is a good prospect to add to the squad. He will give us another dimension with his speed down either flank.

I am delighted to have both players are on board as I feel it will add more pace to the squad and options going forward, as well as competition for places. They both have ambitions to play at a higher level and hopefully that can be achieved with us.”
