Dartford entertain Tonbridge Angels at Bericote Powerhouse Princes Park this afternoon.
We spoke with Paul Rooney, as he shared his thoughts on the season ahead amongst other things:
- “I signed for Dartford because it’s a big club.”
- “I work for one of the gaffer’s mates.”
- “Work has a kitchen and a gym, so I can look after myself while there.”
- “The team and results will get better.”
- “Your noise and support really does make a difference.”
We also spoke with the legend that is Ben Greenhalgh, as he discussed what he’s been up to, as well as his thoughts on playing in black and white:
- “Going in goal for the second-half against Maidstone was an interesting experience.”
- “My goal at Oxford City in my last game (for the club) is one of my favourites.”
- “I really hoped to have my name up there with the likes of Bradders, Nobes, and Hayzie.”
- “Leaving Dartford wasn’t something I ever wanted to do.”
- “I’m on the phone with Dowse every week regarding results and the Academy.”
