Dartford Football Club have teamed up once again with Riverford Organic Farms, in support of the clubs pre-academy teams.
Co Chairman Steve Irving said of the partnership, “I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Riverford again and pleased that they will help us in funding free entry for all the pre-academy players to first team games. We really hope as many of the pre academy boys and girls as possible come along to Princes Park on a Saturday, have a great time and help make a great atmosphere. Parents can be also confident that the same team who help run pre academy events also oversee things on 1st team matchdays.”
Dartford FC currently have 41 boys and girls teams between the ages of 7 and 16, involving 21 out of 24 schools in the area; something everyone connected with the club is very proud of.
An FA study showed, as a town Dartford has one of the highest participation rates in football at every age group in Kent, nationally the town is also above average.
Paul Davey, owner of The local Riverford business, added “Dartford FC and Riverford have a lot in common, we have both won Ethical awards and are both trying to be straightforward and useful in all areas of what we do. The study shows the high levels of interest in football locally and when Steve mentioned that they would really like to add free entry to first team games to all members of the pre-academy teams we asked how we could help – we are very conscious that Dartford FC is a club run by supporters for supporters, therefore they look to the local business community for support. It also makes sound business sense for a company such as ours to be involved in such a fantastic community based club. Supporting your local football team on a Saturday afternoon is a fine tradition and we are thrilled to be involved in a small way in helping the next generation attend games at Princes Park.”
Riverford will also help with healthy eating advice for the teams and further donate to the running costs of the pre-academy as follows:
For the Club: Try a Riverford veg box and Riverford will donate £5 to the pre academy, on your 10th delivery they will donate a further £10. Riverford will then continue to donate £15 per year per customer.
